The Green Meanie

Our mission is to question and examine the credibility of claims made in news reports and marketing materials regarding consumer products and political issues about the Earth and our Environment.

How credible are the terms “eco-friendly” or “environmentally safe”?
What about products that are marketed with green labels?

For generations, we have been bombarded by outrageous claims about consumer products. But we have been lulled into a false sense of security because some of these terms are supposedly regulated, either by government entities or by industry consortia, or simply by the threat of class-action lawsuits against fraudulent claims.

The Green Meanie wants to know WUWT! Call me a doubting Thomas, but I find some of these green labels to be incredible. So, how can the typical consumer demand proof of some of these esoteric claims? Let’s start doing some research…
